The Paulista Meeting of Museums (EPM) is promoted by the State System of Museums in São Paulo – SISEM-SP, in a partnership with the ACAM Portinari – Social Organization of Culture and is today the greatest event of the museological sector in São Paulo, gathering every year professional of museums, culture public managers, students and interested people, promoting an important space for experience exchange and debates. In 2020, after a cycle of six travelling editions held in the inland cities of the state (Itinerant Paulista Meeting of Museums – EPMi), the event will return to São Paulo, being held at the America Latina Memorial, from 23 to 25 of November.
Just like the previous editions of the Paulista Meeting of Museums and the EPMi, the subjects of the State Database of Museums (CEM-SP) will also guide the activities in 2020. The theme of the official program of the event will be “Communication and Services to the Public”.
In 2021, SISEM-SP launched the digital book “Reflective Overview – 11 years of Reflections and Discussions” in partnership with ACAM Portinari and the Fórum Permanente. The book contains a selection of the critical reports produced for each edition, as well as a retrospective critical report on the main roundtables and the developments following each of the State of São Paulo Museum Conferences.
