ACTIONS

What can SISEM do for your museum?

The Connections SP Museums Program is an action in partnership with the State System of Museums (SISEM-SP).

The museums are linked to the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy (SEC). And they are managed by social organizations of culture.

The Connections SP Museums Program wants to:

  • train museum professionals;
  • value the museums' collection;
  • value museum experiences.

The Culture and Creative Economy Secretariat (SEC) has 24 museums.

The 24 museums develop three areas of action:

  • SP Museology Connection;
  • Thematic Networks;
  • Regional Poles.

Connections Museology SP is a program with the following objectives:

  • motivating the production of information and knowledge about museums in the State of São Paulo;
  • collaborating so that museums have technical and scientific news that can be shared as publications.

Museology Connections SP wants

  • having data about museums in the State of São Paulo
  • producing knowledge about museums in the State of São Paulo.

Museums need to organize and stimulate Thematic Networks.

The Thematic Networks are formed by museums or professionals that debate about the same theme.

The Networks must:

  • unite museums;
  • gather information about museums;
  • carry out actions;
  • provide support to the museums' areas;
  • strengthen the development of museums;
  • hold meetings with themes for participants;
  • exchange experiences among professionals.

They organize meetings with different audiences:

  • meeting with professionals who study the same theme;
  • meetings with professionals from museums that have the same theme.

The State System of Museums of São Paulo (SISEM-SP) has 7 regional poles.

The poles organize:

  • courses;
  • workshops
  • internships;
  • professional experiences.

The Paulista Meeting of Museums (EPM) has the following objectives:

  • bring together professionals who work with museums in the State of São Paulo;
  • discussing important subjects for museums;
  • make planning;
  • debating the actions of the State System of Museums of São Paulo (SISEM-SP);
  • gathering actions about the policies for museums.

The meeting is held every 2 years.

The program Dream the World - Human Rights in Museums takes place every year.

It aims to unite and mobilize museums on issues related to human rights.

The State System of Museums of São Paulo (SISEM-SP) chooses the theme for each meeting with the museums.

Museums must collaborate in social transformation and find answers to challenges.

The Dream the World Program offers several activities for the museums, such as:

  • training of professionals throughout the year;
  • publication of manuals with rules and guidelines on the theme chosen for the year.
  • organization of the program for the museums for the week of December 10th, which is the International Human Rights Day.

Here you will get to know the museums that are part of the Museum State System of São Paulo (SISEM-SP)!

The Platform Museus SP gathers and organizes technical and administrative information about the professionals and museums of the State of São Paulo.

It is a tool of Museum State System of São Paulo (SISEM-SP).
